Bridges Community Support Services was founded in 1984 and was one of the first organizations in Missouri to offer home and community support services to men and women with physical and cognitive disabilities. Our system of supports has evolved to include both part-time in-home supports for individuals who need only intermittent assistance and supported living apartments and homes with 24 hour assistance. Men and women supported include persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness and persons who have sustained traumatic brain injuriesThe Bridges Counseling Program provides individual and family counseling with special expertise in working with issues related to disabilities. The Bridges Training Network provides valuable staff training not only to Bridges staff, but to support workers from organizations throughout the St. Louis area.In 2000 a second company, Bridges of Missouri, was created in order to offer quality support services to individuals living in communities throughout Missouri. Since its inception, quality in-home supports have been provided to people in over 50 communities in all parts of Missouri. Bridges of Missouri provides specialized brain injury rehabilitation and community support services.
