The present day law firm of Andereck, Evans, Widger, Johnson & Lewis, LLC had its genesis in the combination of two venerated Missouri firms. Fenton T. Stockard ( father of Gregory T. Stockard, former Missouri Secretary of State ) formed Stockard & Stockard in Jefferson City, Missouri. Missouri State Senator O. A. Pickett ( grandfather of Thomas O. Pickett, former Associate Judge and Circuit Judge ) formed Pickett & Pickett in Trenton, Missouri. After years of close association in the field of cooperative corporation law, the two law firms merged in 1973 to form Stockard, Andereck, Hauck, Pickett & Sharp with offices in Trenton and Jefferson City. Today, the firm has expanded with additional offices in Springfield, and Smithville with fifteen attorneys operating as a single LLC. Although the backbone of the firm's practice is based on litigation, utility law, and cooperative corporation law, the firm conducts a general business practice. The firm currently represents clients which include state and regional corporations, national insurance companies, financial institutions, and many small to mid-size businesses. Our firm's philosophy is that every piece of legal work will be of the highest quality at an affordable cost. To that end, our firm's motto is that we will not be out worked or out prepared in representing our clients. Our firm looks forward to working with you regarding your legal needs.
