The Office of The Adjutant General of Iowa is a provider of combat ready units and equipment in support of the national military strategies. The office is responsible for the protection of life and property for the residents of state of Iowa. It deals in the preservation of peace and order and provides public safety activities for individuals. Office of The Adjutant General of Iowa, through its Iowa Air National Guard, offers scholarships and tuition assistance services. The office organizes the National Guard Family, which serves as the foundation for support to families of army and air national guard members. It also conducts army education classes and offers guidance counseling and planning to general staff and subordinate units through the Iowa National Guard Public Affairs Office.
