Norbord Mississippi is one of Norbord s 15 lumber plants in the United States. Located in Guntown, Miss., this plant specializes in the production of oriented strand board (OSB). Headquartered in Toronto, Norbord is an international producer of wood-based panels with assets in excess of $1.3 billion. In addition to OSB, its plants manufacture particleboard, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), hardwood plywood, I-joists and related value-added products. Its infrastructure consists of 11 OSB mills, two MDF plants, three particleboard plants, one plywood mill, one I-joist facility and one furniture plant. The company has approximately 2,700 employees worldwide. Nordord went public on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the name Noranda Forest in 1987.
