Exhibit Hall Head Start Center, located in Philadelphia, is part of Mississippi Action For Progress. Also known as MAP, Mississippi Action For Progress is a comprehensive, community-based child development and family services program for preschool children of low-income families. Founded in 1964, it is a private nonprofit organization and offers several child development programs, including day center-based and home-based programs for children ages 3 and 4, and Early Head Start for infants, toddlers and pregnant women. Mississippi Action For Progress more than 4,000 children operates over 30 Head Start centers. It also provides an Early Head Start center and employs more than 1,200 people. Exhibit Hall Head Start Center provides several programs to more than 200 children and offers over 10 classrooms.
