Brandon High School is a secondary school serving students in grades nine through 12. Located in Brandon, Miss., the school offers courses in environmental science, French, family dynamics, math, human anatomy and physiology, comprehensive health, computer applications, journalism, photography, physical education and visual arts. It has athletic teams in various sports, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, fast pitch softball, football, soccer, tennis and track and field. The school s library and media center has a computer lab that features more than 20 computers for class use, and additional computers for individual use. The library offers offer up-to-date encyclopedias, atlases and unabridged dictionaries in addition to educational videos, reference materials, fiction and nonfiction titles. It also subscribes to daily papers and a range of entertaining, as well as professional periodicals. Brandon High School is a part of the Rankin County School District and provides several extracurricular activities, such as speech, debate, student council and French club.
