Roseville Fire Department, founded in 1944, consists of more than 50 part-time and paid per-call-members, a full-time fire chief, assistant fire chief, fire marshal and fire inspector. Located in Roseville, Minn., the department offers several stations and pumpers, ladder trucks, heavy rescue, grass rig, water rescue boat and a special purpose trailer. Its members have undergone more than 300 hours of training, including state certification in basic firefighting, hazardous materials, emergency vehicle driving, fire truck operations and emergency medical training. Roseville Fire Department responds to a variety of incidents, including fire and rescue calls, vehicle accidents with injuries, medical stand-by at youth sporting events and various nonemergency incidents.
