History
Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours was established in 1906 under the name Muller Boat Company by Carl Muller. Carl, who was 16 at the time, started out with a small eight passenger boat. In 1910 he started renting canoes and row boats on the St. Croix River as well. Throughout the years Carl continued to expand his business with larger boats and more tours, until Carl eventually passed the business onto his son, Bob Muller. In 1960 Dennis Raedeke married Bob's daughter, Cynthia (Cam), and joined the company in 1961. In 1980 Dennis built the 80' Taylors Falls Queen in LaCrosse, WI. She could hold 150 passengers with facilities for dinner cruises and wedding receptions. As the business continued to grow Dennis decided to add another boat in 1985. The Taylors Falls Princess is also 80' but can hold up to 250 passengers. In 1989 Dennis and Cam retired from active management. Today their son, Dan Raedeke, and daughter, Amy Frischmon, manage the boat company and Taylors Falls Recreation.
