History
The Surface Specialists concept was created in Isanti in 1979 by Wayne McClosky. In 1981 he began offering franchises for tub repair, refinishing and bathroom restoration throughout the US. What began as a local countertop repair service, expanded to offer low cost bath remodeling options to repair, refinish or replace fiberglass, porcelain, acrylic, cultured marble, Formica, Corian, granite and ceramic tile. Over the years, our bathtub refinishing and repair processes and materials have been developed and refined to be the finest available anywhere. Our refinishing and repair coatings have been independently tested and proven superior to other leading coatings for wear, clean ability, & damage resistance. In fact, one of the premier plumbing manufacturers in the country purchases Surface Specialists coatings for manufacturing their own products.
