The Salvation Army provides opportunities to men and women to grow spiritually and serve the humanity. It offers food, emergency and transitional housing services to men, women and families in need. The organization provides opportunities to participate in programs and workshops that are developed to promote self-sufficiency and personal development. The Salvation Army also works with clients to help them transition to a more permanent housing situation. It offers individual and family trauma counseling and emotional support. The Salvation Army sponsors the Youth Councils, which is an annual gathering where more than 600 people gather for a weekend of worship, training and fellowship.
