History
The St. Paul Strength Room was started to help people live life strong because we believe the increase of muscle mass, the prevention of muscle atrophy and the development of muscular strength are key to performing well in our lives and maintaining personal independence as we age. Adults achieve peak muscle mass by their early forties and after that time they experience a progressive deterioration by as much as 50% by age 80. One of the earliest hallmarks of aging isn't grey hair, but rather the loss of skeletal muscle tissue. The preservation of muscle mass is critically important to overall health and well-being because of the metabolic activity of muscles. We want to help people live life strong so they can do the things they would like to do in their lives whether it is to perform at a high level in sports, participate in recreational actives for personal enjoyment, play with children, or have more confidence with balance and walking.
