The stated mission of Laura Baker Services Association is "to respect the life choices and dreams of people with developmental disabilities and help them reach their goals." One of the programs offered is Laura Baker School, which is a private school for students with developmental disabilities. Residential services are also offered at the Oak Street location. This is a 30-bed intermediate care facility that offers a safe, nurturing environment with supervision and individualized treatment plans. Supported Living Services is another option that provides assistance in helping people live independently. Training is available to aid in shopping skills, money management, home maintenance, social planning, personal safety and other necessary life skills.
