Located off of Highway 3, North Babcock Park is the city's only park that has a designated area for Northfield's canines. The multi-acre fenced-in dog park offers pooches a place to roam leash-free. The park is situated along the Cannon River and connects with the city's trail system.

Way Park

Way Park will keep kids and adults of all ages busy. A traditional sandbox playground with swings, slides and digging cranes, the park also offers a basketball court and softball pitch. The softball pitch is turned into a skating rink in the winter months. Way Park is located blocks east of St. Olaf College.

Truman Park

Truman Park is set a little back from Roosevelt Drive, but the short walk on the path from the road takes you through a cluster of trees. Once you arrive at the clearing, a large field welcomes you to throw a Frisbee or play catch. On the edge of the park is a picnic pavilion and a playground, which features a side-by-side slide. A walking path runs through the park as well.

Tyler Park

With a lot of open space, there is plenty to do at Tyler Park. Located near Northfield Middle School, a large field can easily be used for Frisbee or soccer. The park is a hub for several walking trails and is anchored by a basketball court. Tyler Park also has a picnic pavilion and, like most Northfield parks, has a playground with many attractions for kids.
