Violence Free Minnesota, formerly known as the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women, is a statewide coalition of over 90 member programs dedicated to ending relationship abuse and promoting social justice. Founded in 1978, they represent victims and survivors of relationship abuse, challenge systems and institutions, and work towards creating safety and achieving social change.
Through campaigns, trainings, and events, Violence Free Minnesota aims to prevent youth relationship abuse and raise awareness about the issue. They also honor the victims of intimate partner homicide through their memorial project, We Remember. Together with their member programs, Violence Free Minnesota strives to make Minnesota a violence-free state.
