Minnesota Teen Challenge is one of the largest residential drug and alcohol programs in the state of Minnesota. It serves teens and adults from all ethnic, socio-economic and religious backgrounds. It offers a 12-month, faith-based drug and alcohol program. The residential program assists individuals in permanently recovering from drug and alcohol abuse and the life-controlling problems associated with it. In addition, residents work on overcoming rebellion and the self-destructive behaviors associated with their substance abuse. The program consists of four levels, all focusing on spiritual and emotional wellness. Residents are required to participate in daily devotions, chapel, individual counseling and choir. Minnesota Teen Challenge also offers a 60-day extended care chemical dependency program licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. It is a residential program designed for individuals who have had previous outpatient and primary care treatment. Minnesota Teen Challenge is affiliated with the national Teen Challenge program.
