Minnesota Hockey, located in Minneapolis, is a governing body of amateur hockey in Minnesota and an affiliate of USA Hockey. It provides a wide range of services and programs for the development and promotion of all youth hockey in the state. The organization encourages and improves the standard of youth hockey and other amateur ice hockey in the Minnesota area, conducts ice hockey tournaments and selects representative teams to participate in tournaments. Minnesota Hockey associates with other ice hockey associations, and also buys sells, leases and deals property, real, personal and mixed to create interest in youth and other amateur hockey. It is partnered with various organizations, such as Polaris, Minnesota Wild, TCF Bank, Minnesota Hockey Journal, and Let s Play Hockey. Minnesota Hockey, formerly known as the Minnesota Amateur Hockey Association, was established in 1947.
