HistoryThe old Garden Theater found on West 7th (or Fort Road back in the day) in St. Paul, Minnesota, enjoyed its heyday in the first half of the 20th century showing silent films. The Garden closed down in the 1960s and was turned into a warehouse for a local casket company. Soon, the property fell into disrepair and was slated to be demolished by the City of St. Paul. In 2015, local actors and entrepreneurs Ryan and Tina North secured a stay of execution for the building and purchased it with plans to revitalize the property into a live performance venue. The space will host the North's own unique brand of theater as well as provide a rental venue for other theater, music, dance, arts, and events.SpecialtiesThe North Garden Theater (St. Paul, Minnesota - capacity 250) is a venue suitable for live performances (plays, musicals, bands, stand up comedy, and more) as well as community gathering events (corporate meetings, lectures, parties, weddings, and receptions).
