Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory
Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, founded in 1904, is one of the largest diagnostic facilities for animals in Minnesota. It provides animal health support services to practicing veterinarians, animal health consultants, and livestock and poultry producers. The laboratory offers a range of diagnostic services related to necropsy, bacteriology, clinical chemistry, endocrinology, serology and virology. Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory also provides examination and testing services for neuromuscular diseases and rabies. In addition, it offers a variety of supplies, such as environmental monitoring plates and serology, insulated tissue and milk sample mailing boxes. The laboratory has skilled teams of pathologists, epidemiologists, and mastitis and neuromuscular specialists. It is a part of the University of Minnesota and maintains a location in St. Paul, Minn.
