Located between Kenny Community School and Susan B. Anthony Middle School, the neighborhood center hosts a variety of activities, including playgroups for younger kids or martial arts for their older siblings.
The park (and surrounding neighborhood) is named in honor of Sister Elizabeth Kenny, according to David C. Smith's historical account of Minneapolis parks.
