Jack and Jill Childcare offers a nurturing learning environment for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Low teacher-to-child ratios and small groups within the classrooms allow for more individualized attention. Each developmentally appropriate program is geared toward a child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs. Jack and Jill Childcare is locally owned and operated, with locations in Blaine and St. Anthony, Minnesota. Both locations are licensed and inspected, providing care in accordance with the highest national standards. Over forty years ago, Barbara Wilkinson opened Jack and Jill Childcare in the Macalaster/Groveland area of St. Paul as one of the first nursery school programs in the Twin Cities. In 1964 the program moved to Roseville with Alice Marks, an influential leader in child development, who took over Jack and Jill Childcare, and directed it for 25 years. Today Jack and Jill Childcare is owned by Carol Arens. Carol became interested in child care when she saw the need for a strong early childhood program that allowed parents to be actively involved. Jack and Jill childcare continues to grow and improve. In 2007 we opened a brand new location in Blaine. In 2008 the Roseville location moved into a newly refurbished space into neighboring St. Anthony.
