Founded 1879, the Albert Lea Fire Department is a public safety agency comprised of more than 30 full- and part-time firefighters. It provides a variety of fire prevention and suppression services for the residents and visitors of the City of Albert Lea, Minn. The department operates a fire prevention bureau that works with a mission to improve personal safety and reduce property loss through aggressive fire inspections and public fire education. The Albert Lea Fire Department administers fire safety programs in nursing homes, medical facilities, businesses and schools.
