Diamond Path Elementary school is one of District 196's magnet elementary schools, with a focus on international studies. Its students receive a traditional elementary curriculum but with added focus on world cultures, people and issues. The curriculum requires that all students take either Mandarin Chinese or Spanish language classes. Students use video conferencing and participate in service-learning projects, as well as many before- and after-school activities. Fourth-graders take a yearly trip to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning center, and the school hosts annual parent and family nights.
