Brooklyn Center Junior-Senior High School, located in Minneapolis, offers classes to students in grades seven through12 and has an enrollment of more than 850. Established in 1961, it provides a comprehensive educational program including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, social studies and science. Additionally, other courses are offered which include art, music, computer education, library, guidance, health and physical education. Its facilities include playing fields; sports area that houses shower rooms, lockers and weight room; swimming pool; cafeteria; visual arts facility; and a computer graphics lab. A counselor provides advice and direction with educational concerns and assists students in the areas of education, careers, personal and social domains. Brooklyn Center Junior-Senior High School offers various sports, including basketball, football, cheerleading, softball and volleyball. It is one of the Brooklyn Center Schools.
