St. Jude Medical Atrial Fibrillation, a division of St. Jude Medical in Minnetonka, Minn., designs, manufactures and markets medical devices for cardiovascular applications. These medical devices consist primarily of disposable catheters and catheter accessories used in invasive cardiology and sometimes in other areas of medicine. It also produces a line of transseptal needles and implantable pacemaker leads and accessories. The principal markets for all of the division s products are hospitals or hospital purchasing groups and original equipment manufacturers throughout the world. St. Jude Medical Atrial Fibrillation was founded in 1974 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Jude in 1996. St. Jude Medical is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacturer and distribution of a broad line of cardiovascular medical devices for physicians and patients.
