St Thomas the Apostle School
Established in 1925, Saint Thomas the Apostle School is a Christ-centered learning center that serves more than 320 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science, English, social studies, physical education, music, art, computer application, Spanish and language arts. The school additionally provides classes in religion, choir and band. It offers special education and accelerated reader programs for gifted and talented students. The school provides a range of sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, baseball, cross-country, cheerleading, football, and track and field. It maintains a library media center that stocks books, periodicals and newspapers, as well as provides links to search engines. The school also offers before- and after-school care programs to assist students with homework and supervised activities. It is a part of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, which provides various spiritual and educational programs. Saint Thomas the Apostle School is located in Grand Rapids, Mich.
