Wild Swan Theater, located in Scio Township, Michigan, has been delighting audiences for over four decades with their heartfelt and imaginative theater productions. Founded in 1980 by Sandy Ryder and Hilary Cohen, this non-profit theater company has been dedicated to creating accessible and high-quality theater experiences for children, families, and students. With a collaborative team of talented artists and a deep belief in the importance of creative experiences for young people, Wild Swan Theater has touched the lives of over a million audience members and conducted workshops for over a hundred thousand participants.
After years of successful theater making, Wild Swan Theater has made the difficult decision to bring down the curtain and stop producing new works. However, they plan to create an archive of resources, including DVDs of their productions for classroom use and workshop materials for participants with disabilities. With gratitude and love, co-founders and co-artistic directors Hilary Cohen and Sandy Ryder express their appreciation to all those who have joined them on this incredible journey.
