West Bloomfield Fire Department-Station 4, 5842 Greer Rd, West Bloomfield, MI 48324, US

Providing support to the Birmingham Fire Department's main station on Adams Street, the Chesterfield Street Station is open 24 hours a day, with two firefighters always ready to respond to emergencies on the west side of town. Located off of Maple Road between Southfield and Cranbrook, the station has been a Birmingham landmark since 1955. Currently, the station houses an engine truck, as well as the department's hazardous materials truck. Managed by Fire Chief Mike Metz, the Birmingham Fire Department employees 32 people, with 29 fulltime firefighters in addition to administrative staff, a fire chief and two assistant chiefs. The department also maintains 12 vehicles, including several fire engines, ladder trucks and ambulances. The department provides advanced life support, and will be the first to respond in the case of medical emergencies and car accidents.
