Founded in 1967, the Wayne County Community College District offers classes in accounting, aviation mechanics, computer games development, dental hygiene and machine tool technology. The district also provides sessions in computer information systems, long-term care administration, veterinary technology, and hotel and restaurant management. The Wayne County Community College District operates through human resources, information technology and public relations departments. The district is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, it offers associate s degree programs in science, art and applied science. The district serves more than 60,000 students. The Wayne County Community College District maintains a location in Taylor, Mich.
