Troy Fire Department's Station No. 6 is one of six fire stations strategically located throughout the city.
Built in 1984 and renovated in 1993, the 6,782-square foot station has two bays to house a 1,000-gallon pumper truck and a 65-foot ladder truck.
The department maintains an authorized staff about 180 volunteers and 10 career firefighters. All Troy firefighters are certified by the State of Michigan. Volunteers are on-call 24-hours a day to respond to requests for service such as fires, vehicle extrications and other emergencies.
