The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for over 780 acres of park land and open spaces at 33 sites throughout the City, including 333 acres of dedicated nature preserves. City of Southfield governs the department. Parks & Recreation Department offers hundreds of recreation programs at facilities which include two nine-hole golf courses, a lighted driving range, a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool, a senior adult center, an indoor athletic field house, an indoor ice arena and a neighborhood recreation center.
