Saginaw Township Fire Department provides fire suppression and emergency services for Saginaw Charter Township in Saginaw, Mich. The department is divided into three companies, which are responsible for a different section of the city. Combined, Saginaw Township Fire Department has has more than 90 trained personnel, three main line engines, two tower ladders, one quint, three squads, one command vehicle, one utility truck with a trailer and one reserve engine. The department s central office is located at 4930 Shattuck Road, near the Saginaw Township Hall and government offices. Saginaw Charter Township is located in Saginaw County in Michigan and has a population of more than 40,000. The township was formed in 1831 and incorporated in 1857. The area now comprising Saginaw Charter Township is the remnant of what was originally a large tract of land encompassing what now includes more than four counties.
