Every day we are busy creating new and better products. One day we looked at our catalog and asked, "How can we get our customers product information faster?" Here is our answer - R.J.Woodworking.com! Who is R.J. Woodworking R.J. Woodworking has been quietly carving out a niche for itself in the furniture industry since its humble beginning in 1979. Robert J. Carter, owner/president, began his career as a carpenter after high school, and at the age of 23 started the business in his 14' x 18' garage. He had $100 and a cardboard box full of tools. "I just wanted to start a woodworking company, so I went out in the garage and started building whatever anyone would hire me to build." Some of those first projects were plaques, cedar chests, and gun cabinets. About a year and a half later Bob hired an employee and built a 28' x 40' pole barn next to the garage. Quickly, the business grew from there to what is now the present location. With a few additions along the way the building currently provides about 22, 000 sq. ft. of work area for the approximately 15-20 employees. About our products Our main product line is tables, to put it simply. But, this includes everything from 12" x 12" cube tables to 60" x 240" conference tables, and just about anything a customer can dream up. We offer nearly 20 standard edge profiles and just as many hardwood and veneer finishes are available with cherry, oak, red oak, maple, mahogany, or walnut. With numerous laminate colors and patterns from Wilsonart, Formica, Nevamar, and Pionite and 12 new Marmoleum colors by Forbo, you get to choose from over 39 base styles upon which to build your table. And tables are just the start... if you need desks, pedestals, lateral files, conference centers, credenzas, A.V. cabinets, bookcases, or a custom furniture piece... we do that, too. Because we can build everything our larger competitors do, what sets us apart? Our strengths, which have not changed since our humble beginnings in 1979: attention to customer service, a quick turn-around time, custom design service, flexibility and quality products at a reasonable price.
