The Ottawa Area Center is a public school that serves the educational needs of students with cognitive impairments. It serves more than 300 students throughout the Ottawa area. It provides individualized special education services to maximize its students quality of life. It has a versatile staff of over 140 teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, therapists, consultants and support personnel. Its staff provides students with creative, academic, vocational and social experiences for succeeding in family and community life. In addition to classroom activities, the school offers a variety of unique programs and support activities to help students reach their full potential. The Ottawa Area Center is a part of the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District and is located in Zealand, Mich.
