Established in 1979, New Center Community Mental Health Services is a nonprofit behavioral health center providing health care services to the residents of Detroit and Highland Park, Mich. It provides various adult programs, such as intensive crisis stabilization and assertive community treatment. Its Children Adolescent outpatient program offers services to severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents of ages 3 to 17. It also offers various programs for children and adolescents, such as Family Place and Early On. Under its Abuse and Neglect program, the center treats children suffering from abuse and neglect, and its Project Resilience and substance abuse prevention programs work for the skills enrichment of children. New Center Community Mental Health Services is located in Detroit and is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization and is licensed by Bureau of Substance Abuse Services.
