History
In the late 1920's, Marion Jarves Alger and a few friends founded the Neighborhood Thrift Shop to help needy residents in this area. That was the beginning of what has been a successful local non-profit business ever since. The Thrift Shop has moved to several different places over the years but has always had the same purpose - to provide money for the Neighborhood Club and good low-cost merchandise for the customers. Once you visit, you will see why it has stood the test of time. New items arrive everyday!
