Founded in 1904, the Michigan Nurses Association is one of the largest nurse unions in Michigan. The association promotes economic and general welfare of nurses in workplace; as well as focuses on the improvement of nursing practice standard. It assists legislative and regulatory agencies with health care issues affecting nurses and the recipients of nursing services. The association is staffed with representatives, assistants and organizers. The Michigan Nurses Association provides continuing education and universal health care programs. Its nursing practice program promotes the practice and educational standards of nursing profession. The Michigan Nurses Association is located in Okemos, Mich.
