Such a homey place. Salad bar was very nice and the house-like atmosphere felt some homey. It felt like dining in grandma's house. Food was yummy. I had fried fish plus the salad bar. YUM.

Recently on a family trip we located McGowan's for breakfast. All ten of us were delighted with the find, especially the raisin bread!!! So, we ate breakfast there each morning during our stay.

While I can't speak for the motel, the food here is amazing. Friendly servers and a great value. However the star of the show has got to be the homemade bread. Light and fluffy it has great flavor...
