The Little Traverse Bay Bands Tribal Administration provides managerial oversight for the functions of day-to-day business of the Government operations. The functions of the Tribal Governmental services encompass; Health, Human Services, Education, Housing, Enrollment, Law Enforcement, and Natural Resources. The Tribal Administrator oversees all Tribal programs to insure critical goals and objectives are met such as budget compliance, timely reporting to outside funding agencies and future staff development. The Tribal Administrator institutes policy and procedure adopted by the Tribal Council in regards to day-to-day operations. The Tribal Administrator interfaces with the Tribal Council to assist in improving communication to all staff and membership on issues such as financial management, process and procedure, and overall accountability of program implementation. The Tribal Administrator also oversees Archives & Records Management, Communications, Facilities, Elders Program, Management Information Systems, and Contract Management Department. The Tribal Administrator is tasked with coordinating presentations from Tribal programs to Tribal Council, informing staff of new developments and providing a safe work environment for all employees. Melissa Wiatrolik, Tribal Administrator Assistant handles all office duties including scheduling of meeting, handling office correspondence, assisting with preparing upcoming presentations, coordinating the Client Emergency Assistance fund, management of the Grants/Donations program and is the first point of contact for the Tribal Administrator. Tammy Gasco, Tribal Receptionist routes all incoming calls to the Tribe, handles incoming governmental mail, greets and directs visitors to respective offices, manages the use of the Administration building commons area, Commissions & Committee Board room 312, and assist various departments with general office duties. The Elders Program consists of Marie, "Tootsie" Miller, the Elders Coordinator, and her Program Assistant, Kathy McGraw. This program is designed to plan, promote, organize, and administer activities and outreach services for the elders of LTBB. Communication Director, has the responsibility of publishing the Odawa Trails Newsletter and assist programs with bulk mailings and addressing program information to the Tribal membership. Mark Tracy, Management Information Systems Director, has the responsibility of maintaining the Tribes' computer infrastructure and all telecommunications equipment utilized by Tribal operations. NOTE: There are times when services outside the scope of work assigned to governmental employees, is required.
