The Lamphere Center, a part of The Lamphere Schools, provides educational programs throughout Michigan. The center maintains a staff of administrative assistants, paraprofessionals, occupational therapists and subject teachers. It offers programs in life and social skills and behavior and personal management. The center allows students to participate in a variety of local retail stores and restaurants to promote independence and self advocacy. The Lamphere Center also provides working opportunities in its cafe. It offers a high school program that involves the use computer technology. The center additionally provides a variety of support and respite services, as well as occupational, physical and speech therapists. It offers consulting and psychology services. In addition, the center provides a range of extracurricular and sports activities. The Lamphere Center is located in Madison Heights, Mich.
