History
In 1933 Royal G. Teman and his young family moved to Owosso, Michigan from Illinois and attempted to start a undertaker/funeral business. After about 8 months, and no business, he moved to Grand Ledge, Michigan and started the R.G. Teman Funeral Home in a small house on Madison Street. After about 10 years, He needed more room and purchased the home of the Sibley family on N. Bridge Street (current location). He and his son James operated the Teman Funeral Home until selling it to the Mapes family in 1952. In 1960 Neil and Helen Holihan purchased the funeral home and in 1988 William Atkin joined the firm. In July of 2003 Jason Barclay moved back to his home town as a funeral director and manager until he purchased the funeral home in December of 2012. Jason and his wife Dana along with their two children are proud to carry on the tradition of a locally family owned and operated funeral home.
