HistoryHFHNEMI was started in Alpena county in 1990 with the sole purpose of building homes for low-income families in need. The first home was completed in the fall of 1990 with the help of volunteers and the partner family who would receive the home. SInce then, we have built or rehabbed more than 80 homes in Alpena, Alcona, and Presque Isle Counties.SpecialtiesHabitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan is a nonprofit housing ministry. This organization works with volunteers from the local area to build homes, communities and hope for a better future.
