Established in 1998, the Oakland Academy is a tuition-free, nonprofit public charter school that provides a range of educational and extracurricular programs for students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes classes in various subjects, such as language, mathematics, science, civics, computer education and ethics. The Oakland Academy also administers art, music and health education programs. It organizes a variety of parent-teacher conferences, as well as field trips.
