History
Bavarian Inn Lodge was built by the Bavarian Inn Zehnder family in 1986. Being in the Restaurant business with their 1,200 seat Bavarian Theme restaurant, the were evaluating different ways to serve more meals (serving nearly 800,000 annually at that time). They decided to build a hotel so people could stay longer (and eat more often). Over the last 23 years, the Lodge grew from 100 rooms to 360 guestrooms and five indoor pools for year round fun. Over 100 video games and indoor-miniature golf keep the entire family busy. Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Lodge are owned and operated by 3rd and 4th generation owners Dorothy Zehnder, Co-founder of Bavarian Inn Restaurant turned 88 in Dec. 2009 & runs the kitchen 6 days a week. (Taking Mondays off!) Mom is in the heart of the business - the kitchen. All recipes are developed by and through Dorothy.
