Catholic Diocese of Saginaw was established in1938 and formed by the merger of the Diocese of Grand Rapids and Archdiocese of Detroit. Located in Saginaw, Mich., serves various counties in eastern mid-Michigan within the Roman Catholic Province of Detroit, including Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, and Tuscola. The diocese encompasses an area of more than 6,000-square-miles, and has over 132,000 Catholic members. Catholic Diocese of Saginaw offers a wide variety of programs, such as respect life, natural family planning and grief recovery programs. It also offers parish mission projects, legislative advocacy, rural life, community outreach and Catholic campaign for human development programs.
