Founded in 1997, Covenant House Michigan maintains a 45-bed facility that offers shelter and support services for homeless, runaway and throwaway youths. It offers outreach services that include assistance with food, personal hygiene kits and medical attention. The facility additionally provides crisis care and counseling services. Covenant House Michigan features residential facilities, administrative offices and a dining and recreation center. It operates the Community Service Centers and the Covenant House Job Development Center. The facility has provided residential and nonresidential services to more than 20,000 youths. Covenant House Michigan is a part of Covenant House International, which is a one of the leading privately-funded agencies in the United States that provides medical care, educational, vocational, and drug abuse treatment and prevention services, as well as recreational and transitional living programs. It is a member of the Non-Government Organization Board of Directors of UNICEF. Covenant House Michigan is located in Detroit.
