Located in Saginaw, Mich., the Saginaw County Sheriff's Department is a full-service organization that includes a law enforcement division, road patrol, corrections division, and detective and records bureau. It also has support divisions, such as aviation, chaplain, civil process, handicap parking, emergency response, posse unit, and marine patrol and dive team. Its corrections division operates jail transport and office and the county jails. Its road patrol and detective bureau serves a population of more than 210,000 residents and provides various safety, support and corrective services. Its county jail houses more than 513 inmates. The department also works in coordination with MBS Airport, Juvenile Courts, Saginaw County Health Department, and the Merrill, and the Albee, Maple and Jonesfield townships in Michigan. It also provides security for the Saginaw County courthouse and has transport units that escort inmates throughout the court system and the state.
