Berkley Public Library offers a large selection of books and journals for adults, youth and children on a range of topics, such as contemporary fiction, nonfiction, classics and biographies. Located in Berkley, Mich., the library offers magazines for teens, including Bicycling, Blue Jean, BMXPlus, Car & Driver, Careers & Colleges, Computer Games, Seventeen, Teen Voices and Up Front. The library is a member of the library network shared automation system, an online catalog containing over 500,000 titles of material owned by more than 50 public libraries, located in Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw, St. Clair and Livingston counties in Michigan. The titles in the catalog include books, videos, compact discs, filmstrips, cassettes and games. The Friends of the Library provide support for library programs and collections through various fund-raising efforts, including spring and fall book sales, annual membership drive and special events.
