About Bauer Community Fellowship Thank you for taking the time to visit us. Bauer Community Fellowship is part of the Wesleyan Church. Our church originally began way back on October 12, 1887 when 32 people met in school house No. 1 of Blendon to organize a church in connection with the Wesleyan Methodist. The first parcel of land was purchased for $100 on February 26, 1889 and the original church building ( shown above ) was built soon after. In 1964 the church acquired an adjacent parcel of land where a new church building was constructed that same year. Then in 1997 the church broke ground on a new addition which included a new worship center, nurseries, and classrooms. Read more about our, values and faith below. Currently we are made up of over 100 households. Our folks come from communities like: Hudsonville, Jenison, Allendale, Grandville, Grand Rapids, West Olive, Zeeland, Marne, Grand Haven, Belmont, Kalamazoo, Wyoming City, Byron Center, Nunica and Coopersville. About 170 adults as well as 100 children and teens make up our congregation. We average approximately 195 in our Sunday morning worship service.
