Since 1939, Kolene Corporation has served America s metal producing and metalworking industries with innovative technologies for cleaning, descaling and improving the performance properties of metals and metal components. In 1939, a chemist, patent attorney and engineer combined their talents to create a new technology for metals cleaning and a company that was soon to be named Kolene. Soon after incorporation, the need to clean cast iron components in support of the company s main product line of dry cleaning fluids became critical, but no technology existed at the time that could do the job. In true entrepreneurial spirit, Kolene developed the first cleaning process based on molten salt technology in order to satisfy their needs.
