Established in 1892, YWCA of Greater Lawrence is women and girl empowerment organization offering more than 21 mission critical programs. Based in Lawrence, Mass., its programs focuses on serving underprivileged community women, children and families. Its programs cover topics, such as domestic/sexual violence, women's health advocacy services, supported housing, preschool/after-school and summer children's programs, gender-specific programs for girls, summer day camp named Camp Y-Wood as well as health and fitness classes and programs. Additionally, the club provides young people with summer activities, childcare and athletic programs. YWCA of Greater Lawrence is a part of World YWCA, one of the leading advocates for women and all people for social justice and human rights issues.
